I hope you are enjoying the winter season and staying warm and well.  It’s a good time of year to practice surrendering.  Stop pushing too hard and wishing things were different.  Instead, take a deep breath and let go, accept that this is a good time to slow down enough to listen to what is seeking to emerge.  It’s when we push ourselves too hard that we become vulnerable to colds and illness.

Take some time out to nurture yourself in whatever way feels right for you.

Did you know that yoga nidra (relaxation) is one of the best things you can do to re-balance the body, mind and heart? The body has the amazing capacity to re-balance itself if given time.  Try practicing yoga nidra every day for the next ten days and see what you discover.

Lie down, put on some relaxing music, make sure you are warm then tense and relax from your toes up to your head progressively. Then use your breath to relax the body into a deeper state by observing the rise and fall of your breath.  Breath in a sense of stillness and breath out peace.  Rest in stillness for a while.  Reawaken by gently stretching and coming up slowly.  As little as ten minutes will give your immune system a great boost.

Stay well
