Dates & bookings

Here’s where it gets a bit tricky.

At this stage, we are gauging interest in order to lock in dates. We will run this event from Sunday to Thursday in August or September, hopefully in 2019 (but if consensus goes for 2020, we are open to that).

Because we a) want to pick dates that accommodate as many of our lovely yogis as possible, and b) can’t book dates until we know how many people we are booking for, we are calling for Pledges to Attend. A Pledge to Attend is for you if you’re all set to embark on this journey to the deep centre, are able to come up with the deposit at short notice and balance in the first half of next year (dates to be confirmed), and will do whatever you must to get there on the dates we lock in!

If you’re not quite ready to Pledge, that’s okay, go ahead and complete the form anyway because we can add you to our list of people who might be interested in future events, or maybe even this one if circumstances change for you.

Once you’ve Pledged, and we get enough Pledges to go forward, we’ll set dates, call for a deposit and give you a payment schedule for the balance.

The Spa finishes with breathing techniques to re-balance you and meditation to take you deep within, leaving you feeling refreshed and ready to move forward.

Soul Spas usually run from 9am to 12pm at our brand new yoga studio in Australind, unless stated otherwise below.  Go to Register to book your spot. These events often sell out so get in early to secure your place. All bookings online – go to the Register tab on the right to book your spot.

Yoga & Writing Workshop

A celebration of Earth in the full flush of spring

“Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and surrender yourself to the influence of each.” — adapted from Henry David Thoreau

Sunday 25 November, 1pm – 4pm at the Golden Valley Tree Park, Balingup

Release your creative soul! This workshop is suitable for everybody – even if you’ve never managed to journal or write a thing. If you’ve always wanted to explore journalling for personal experience or creative writing, but feel blocked or just don’t know where to start, this workshop is for you.
The writing activities will be focussed around self-expression: finding freedom in writing, deep feeling and self healing.
Yoga in the tree park will offer a profound experience of grounding, release and nourishment.
Co-facilitated by yoga teacher Sarah Collin and author Kel Fox.

The workshop will be themed around reverence for the Earth, and we will be writing to honour and celebrate the living blue planet we call home. This time will be extra special as we explore the connection to Earth with the great trees of the park.

Light afternoon tea provided. Bookings are essential and can be made online under “Register”.

Testimonials for Yoga & Writing Workshops

“Thank you so much for your inspiration to combine Dru Yoga and Creative Writing. The environment was very conducive to immersing myself completely in the process – the yoga provided the means to ‘go within; to find my creativity; and to stay connected to it’; the conversation about the creative writing process was supportive, informative and encouraging. I am delighted with my creative results from the workshop and feel encouraged to ‘do more writing’. :-)” – V

“Thank you for giving me a safe space to explore my creative writing. Most of my life I have written a lot of letters and stories in my head and just did not know how to translate them onto paper, not being a good speller and becoming anxious writing in the company of others has put a block on me coming out of myself. Being in lovely company of the group I was able to see things in a different light and many ways of starting writing.” – M

“…Sarah and Kel skillfully nudged us onto the creative and spiritual side of things and managed to offer us a balanced and nurturing three hours of opening Yoga sequences, creative writing sessions and relaxation. Overall I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed this quiet afternoon with like-minded Yogis and, yes, looking forward to the next Yoga and Writing workshop!” – I
